PR and communications agency Lansons Communications is launching an employee engagement service.
The Change and Employee Engagement practice will be headed by Scott McKenzie, formerly lead counsel for change and internal communications at another PR agency, Hill and Knowlton Strategies.
Lansons Communications chief executive Tony Langham said 2013 was set to be an exciting year: "Corporate communications advice is now about holistic consultancy, marrying the internal perspective with the external. For major corporations, ensuring their employees are engaged with the company and its objectives is a major business imperative."
As well as expanding into internal corporate communications, Lansons has appointed a new Head of Public Affairs in an effort to capture the demand for strategic advice from government clients. It also invested in consumer PR business Hope and Glory.
The profile of employee engagement has recently risen, thanks to the creation of Engage For Success, a government-backed website designed to help employers boost engagement levels.
