Perfect Health Cash Plans has launched a new product range aimed at the self-employed and the small business community.

The product has four options for customers to choose from: Sick Pay, Every day, Surgical Cash and Life Cover.

The plans cover short-term income protection, a traditional cash plan, a surgical cash option, and guaranteed acceptance life cover.

Andrew Tripp CEO of Perfect Health Cash Plans, said: "Each of our modules costs less than the monthly price of a mobile phone, and there are over 30 million of those out there, and less than six million covered for traditional medical Insurance.

"There is clearly a real opportunity for growth here with the on-going pressures on the NHS, and ever tightening budgets in the State sector."

Sick Pay provides £1500 per month tax-free for six months to customers after they have been off work for 30 days. It costs £21.76 per month and is the same price from age 18 to 61.

Every Day has 21 traditional cash plan benefits including an emergency dental benefit, an NHS car parking benefit of £45 per day for friends and family, NHS prescriptions and a £150 benefit for NHS GP charges, plus the usual Optical and Dentistry.

This option is also offered on an medical history disregarded basis. Every Day premiums are £27.52 monthly; however it offers a 10% discount on all options for annual payment.

Surgical Cash pays fixed sums on diagnosis of a needed clinical procedure. 12 bands cover the 1500 clinical procedures covered, and for example, a cataract at band 3 pays out £2500 for private treatment, and £650 for treatment undergone on the NHS.

A hip or knee operation is a band 8 procedure, paying out £10,000 and £2500 respectively while a heart or cancer procedure pays up to £25,000 privately or £5,000 on the NHS.

Life Cover is guaranteed acceptance and offers £50,000 for those aged 18 to 55, and £25,000 from 55 to 61. Rates for a non-smoker aged 18-50 costs £9.89 per month.

Perfect Health offers an extra £25,000 to customers buying three out of the four options available to those within this age group and non-smoker bracket.
