In a bid to encourage entrants to the financial services sector, Capita Financial Software is to provide free advice tools to Manchester Metropolitan University.
Students enrolled on MMU's Financial Services, Planning & Management degree course will have access to Capita's Synaptic Research suite in addition to a brand new risk profiling tool, Synaptic Modeller, upon launch in 2013.
Upon completion of the course at Manchester Metropolitan University, Capita will offer newly qualified graduates free Synaptic licences for a fixed period of time, to make students more employable to advisory firms.
Adam Byford, Managing Director, Capita Financial Software, said: "We're happy to support Manchester Metropolitan University and we would like to see more institutions in the UK offering financial services courses such as this.
"Today's students are tomorrow's advisers and we think it's important to be able to support them through their qualifications and to encourage more young people to join the industry."
Gill Cardy, managing director of the IFA Centre said: "It's good to see one of the leading technology suppliers in the advice market helping to support students...so that graduates can immediately provide real value to potential employers."
