Symponia, the network for care fees planning advisers, is launching a sister company, Symponia Blu, designed to serve the needs of the ‘children' of elderly clients - often elderly themselves.
Advice on pre-and post-retirement issues of such as annuities, pension planning, income-drawdown, Inheritance Tax, investments, estate planning and equity release will all be offered.
Janet Davies, joint managing director says: "Symponia Blu is the first of several exciting new offerings in the pipeline.
"It came about because our members were repeatedly asked by the children of elderly clients for help with their own financial planning needs, usually because they were impressed with our members' level of care, sensitivity and technical expertise.
"In addition, we know that baby boomers are an assertive generation and will be looking to plan ahead for their own care needs at the same time as helping their parents with theirs."
Symponia Blu members will have access to a members' website and dedicated Blu Library; a full-page profile listing on the Blu website that defines areas of expertise; public relations and social media support; special master classes, care fees planning seminar material and an annual conference.
Other brands soon to be launched are; Adelphi, for female advisers offering advice to women - launching in February or March; Zenith which will inform advisers on end-of-life issues, to launch in April and Mialo concerned with advice around brain injury which would require the victim receives long-term care.
