AXA PPP healthcare has also launched a new national press and TV advertising campaign - highlighting the support and reassurance they offer to members undergoing treatment for cancer.
The insurer's volunteers will also be supporting Stand Up To Cancer by manning phones during Cancer Research UK's and Channel 4's night of live TV fundraising on 19 October.
Complementing this, it has also introduced a new Facebook application - Little Big Things - for people affected by cancer to share inspirational tips and practical information on coping with the disease and its treatment.
The insurer will be working from a 100-line call centre, as the campaign seeks funds to help accelerate cancer research, so that new treatments reach cancer patients more quickly.
Sonia Wolsey-Cooper, membership & people director at AXA PPP healthcare, said: "We've a strong track record when it comes to getting involved and doing as much as we can to help others in need.
"I am proud that so many of our employees have come forward to volunteer their time for what promises to be a star-studded fundraiser."
AXA PPP is also running fourteen live online cancer-themed discussions next week, open to members and non-members alike, www.axappp.co.uk.
