Advisers positive about protection business growth

Protection will be the biggest growth area for a third of advisers, a sentiment report has shown.

The First Complete survey showed 32% cited protection as most prominent for business int eh next three months.

Other findings showed; 25% thought it would be in buy-to-let; 16% saw growth in remortgages; and 15% said purchases. Of the remainder general insurance also received a notable mention from 7% of respondents.

Jon Round, chief executive of First Complete says, "With protection becoming more affordable than ever and the EU Gender Directive set to go live in December; it is no wonder that protection is the area brokers are expecting to grow the most in the coming months."

According to the report, 45% of advisers were positive about business overall in the next quarter.
