Tenet has achieved formal Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) accreditation of its adviser development programme for continuing professional development (CPD).
A schedule of activities at the network including development meetings, roadshows, workshops, online investment forums and the group's annual business conference, will now carry CII-accredited CPD credits.
The CPD credits will contribute to an adviser's annual statement of professional standing (SPS); the new regulatory requirement to be introduced 1 January 2013.
Keith Richards, group distribution and development director at Tenet, said: "We have worked closely with the CII for many years and this accreditation will make the process of attaining the required 35 hours of evidenced structured and unstructured CPD much more streamlined for advisers."
He added Tenet was in the process of obtaining similar accreditation from other professional bodies.
Fay Goddard, chief executive of the Personal Finance Society, said: "Continuing professional development builds consumer confidence and the CII is pleased to accredit this development programme. I am sure many advisers will find it enormously useful."
