Jelf has created the position of director of healthcare in what the employee benefit consultancy calls a "period of ambitious growth".
Doug Rice has been appointed to the newly created position and has an overall mandate for the Healthcare business, allowing other senior managers to continue their day-to-day responsibilities.
He is specifically tasked with completing a training and development plan for the Healthcare management, sales and operations teams.
The new role will also allow Glenn Thomas, Managing Director at Jelf Employee Benefits to devote greater time across all areas of the employee benefits business.
Thomas said: "Doug's general management, sales leadership and breadth of experience with clients of all types, will be a great addition at Jelf Employee Benefits as we continue our focus on profitable growth and development throughout 2012."
Rice has varied experience in leading and managing successful sales teams at both Bupa and Cigna.
