The GP advice line, free for all HSF Health Plan subscribers, will be able to help both employees and employers with the fit note transition.
As of 6 April the current "sick note" system will be phased out in favour of the new "Fit Note" in an effort to get people back to work earlier.
Official figures put work days lost to sickness at about 170 million per year costing Britain a £100billion in lost productivity, taxes and benefits.
Stephen Duff, HSF Health Plan deputy chief executive, adds, ‘The transition from Sick Note to Fit Note could really stretch employers to find suitable employment for people not able to do their normal job.
"Now is an important time for employers to consider options that will help them keep their staff healthy or provide them with benefits that offer them an opportunity to get medical assistance more easily and get them back to work more quickly."
