HealthScreen UK tackles cancer in the workplace

clock • 1 min read

A new provider of health screening services, HealthScreen UK, has entered the UK employee benefits market.

The company follows the Government's new cancer strategy, Improving Outcomes, published in January 2011. It challenges employers to help drive early diagnosis of cancer amongst employees and improve survival rates by making it easier for them to participate in screening programmes.

HealthScreen offers screening services to employers looking to help staff manage their health risk. Employees will have access to a range of screening services, including;

BreastCheck - an extensive consultation that provides a reliable overview of past and future breast health.

SkinCheck - a complete body examination and analysis service.

Later this year, as further tests are developed, two additional services, ProstateCheck and BladderCheck, will also be available.

John Picken, managing director of HealthScreen UK, commented: "The emotional and financial costs of treating cancer are immense. This is an ideal time for UK employers to prioritise cancer prevention when considering their employee benefit plans and health risk strategies."
