AXA PPP has introduced a lower cost corporate medical insurance option.
Its Corporate Health Plan 6 provides immediate access to private treatment if the NHS cannot provide the care within six weeks.
Chris Rofe, AXA PPP healthcare head of client relationships, said believes this arrangement where clients use the NHS to treat more urgent cases, helps to reduce premiums by up to 15%.
He said: ‘Businesses are under considerable pressure to contain their costs and Corporate Health Plan 6 is a valuable new cost-saving option for employers.
'It's also an attractive option for companies who want to consider different levels of cover for their workforce or as part of a flexible benefits package.'
The insurer has also launched a dedicated nurse for cancer patient service.
The Dedicated Nurse service will provide personalised support and medical guidance by qualified nurses, for all UK medical insurance patients diagnosed with cancer.
A helpline for individuals who have been diagnosed with cancer has also been introduced to provide a constant point of contact, offer knowledge, information and guidance, and give emotional support to both the individual and members of their families.
