With only a month to go, delegates places at this year's COVER Protection Forum are running out.
Speakers at the event, to be held at The Brewery, London on 6 October, will include Nick Kirwan, chairman of the Association of British Insurers' (ABI) critical illness working party and Iain Mallon, head of protection marketing at AXA. Guest speakers include Andrew Honey from the Financial Services Authority and Chris Cummings, director general of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers.
Among other prominent industry figures addressing delegates will be Roger Edwards, product director at Bright Grey; Mick James, marketing manager at Standard Life, and Paul Cowman, head of protection at Prudential.
The Forum will once again be chaired by Richard Walsh, head of health at the ABI.
In addition to the main programme, the Forum will also feature seminars from providers on new products and services and an extensive exhibition area featuring leading providers of protection and health insurance. The findings of the 2005 COVER Insight Survey will also be revealed. The research promises to offer a new perspective, not only on the state of the protection industry but also into how and why intermediaries choose the policies they recommend.
Delegates who are also members of the Chartered Insurance Institute will also be able to claim six hours of Continuing Personal Development points by attending the Forum.
The providers and intermediaries shortlisted for this year's COVER Excellence Awards will be announced in the September mid-month bulletin.
