InterGlobal has agreed a partnership with Pakistan's Alfalah Insurance Company

The move means the international private medical (PMI) insurer's UltraCare range of plans will be available to individuals and companies throughout Pakistan.

Established by the Abu Dhabi Group in Pakistan in 2006, Alfalah Insurance Company has offices in eight major Pakistan cities.

Francois Keyser, general manager for Middle East at InterGlobal, believes the move is key to the company's expansion in Pakistan.

"Our partnership with Alfalah Insurance Company in Pakistan enables us to extend our range of international private medical insurance to individuals, expatriates and companies across Pakistan," he says.

Nasar us-Samad Qureshi, chief executive of Alfalah Insurance Company, thinks the agreement ill be a positive one.

"The market for international private medical insurance in Pakistan is growing strongly," he says.

"We are confident that we will exceed our growth targets in the first year and into the future as the market awareness increases both regarding our products, and the importance of health insurance overall."
