Global private health insurer, ALC Health, has included Innocent Bystander Cover within two of its plans.

The insurance is included within ALC's standard full maximum plan limit of £1,500,000 under Prima Premier and £750,000 under Prima Classic plans.

‘Innocent Bystander Cover' is defined as" being the treatment and expenses arising from a consequence of: war, invasion, acts of foreign enemy hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection or military or usurped power, mutiny, riot, strike, martial law or attempted to overthrow a government or any Act of Terrorism."

Andrew Apps, director at ALC, said: "With many IPMI programmes limiting this benefit to as little as £30,000 per event and surprisingly, in some cases, providing no cover whatsoever, this has clearly become a key cover component for anyone travelling or living in those countries which may be a risk."

The providers has also launched a choice of four free web landing pages for corporate clients. The pages allow employees to access information about cover, download claim forms, get information on screened medical facilities globally and the latest country specific security information, along with the medical news alerts.

The pages can be tailored to the requirements of group and its advisor, from content to the client's choice of imagery, including company logos and contact information.
