Canada Life has launched a new group income protection policy, Working Well.
The product is aimed at small and medium enterprises (SME) and includes five key benefits to help manage long term absence.
These services will apply to new policies from 1 October, and will be added to all existing group income protection schemes at the next review date.
The five main benefits are:
• EmployeeCare - an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), providing help and guidance on a wide range of issues;
• BusinessCare - an online and telephone based business and legal support service;
• AbsenceFirst - a chargeable service offering assistance in the assessment and management of employee absence;
• Claims Management Services (CMS) - a claims service focusing on clear communication and claims resolution;
• Best Doctors® - a service offering independent and confidential second opinion medical advice.
Colin Micklewright, head of group income business development at Canada Life, said: "These benefits will help employers run their business more effectively, and also give them the competitive edge in the battle to attract and retain the right quality staff, while the services will also be of significant value to their employees too."
