Fortis Life pinches Bupa sales head Anders

Fortis Life UK has hired Bupa head of sales Mark Anders to lead its sales team.

Anders will be responsible for leading Fortis' protection sales division, including building relationships with the IFA market.

Current head of sales and marketing Ian Jefferies will now focus solely on marketing activities.

Anders joins from Bupa, where he led the sales activity for UK protection across all distribution channels.

Prior to joining Bupa, Anders led LV='s National Account Team.

Martin Werth, Fortis Life managing director, says: "Mark brings with him an enormous amount of industry experience which will enable him to make an excellent contribution to the future direction of Fortis Life and to the execution of our strategic sales plan."
