Best Doctors has launched a website for members to access its benefits and a range of new services online.

Canada Life will be the first provider to use the system with clients on its group income protection and group critical illness products gaining access.

The website includes all the benefits provided and additional multimedia content with over 300 educational videos designed to help improve understanding of a range of medical conditions as well as types of treatments available.

Once registered, users will be able to open a case with Best Doctors and have access to information on the services available while updated marketing support material has also been produced including a ‘toolkit' and member leaflet.

The service can also be accessed by an employee's spouse or partner, parent, sibling or any dependant under the age of 21 living in the same household.

Dominic Howard, Europe director at Best Doctors said: "Utilisation is as high as 10% with some of Canada Life's clients, who communicate the benefit in a variety of ways.

"AskBestDoctors makes it easier for staff and their eligible dependants to access the benefit. Supporting the health of employees and their families provides a recognised contribution to workplace wellbeing and productivity."

Paul Avis, sales and marketing director at Canada Life Group Insurance, added: "In recent months we've worked closely with our service providers to differentiate both our propositions.

"It's now easier for users to access the Best Doctors service and find out more about a range of conditions, and as advisers are aware we are promoting technology as a way to increase understanding and thereby increase the value of what we do.

"Opening a case is now much easier and the multimedia library makes it easier for people to get relevant information about their condition and possible treatments."

The move is also part of Canada Life's new technology campaign.
