Legal & General has launched a new life assurance plan for people over the age of 50. The Over-50s Life Assurance Plan has been created to meet the needs of those members of the UK population who may find it hard to obtain life cover later in life because of deteriorating health. The plan is available to people aged between 50 to 75, asks no medical questions, and lasts for the duration of the policyholder's life, with premiums stopping at the age of 90. As well as not asking policyholders to undergo a medical examination, the plan also provides some measures against inflation by automatically increasing the benefit cover by 10% at no extra cost after the first five years. Advisers requiring further information should call 0800 0275011.
