Specialist expatriate health insurer, Allianz Worldwide Care, has extended the cover on a number of its plans to include In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) treatment. The cover is offered to both men and women, up to a maximum of four attempts per lifetime.

The provider has also launched an outpatient plan called Plan F. With a limit of £6,000, the plan includes cover for routine health checks, infertility treatment and outpatient psychiatry and psychotherapy.

Claude Daboul, sales and marketing manager at Allianz Worldwide Care, said: "Infertility problems can be extremely distressing, particularly for expatriates who may otherwise have to return home for treatment. This cover will enable treatment to be obtained locally thereby avoiding disrupting the expatriate assignment."
