Resolution completes Bupa Health Assurance purchase

clock • 1 min read

Resolution has completed its acquisition of Bupa Health Assurance (BHA), comprising its Group Risk and Individual Protection businesses.

It is initially intended that BHA will be run as a stand-alone entity before being integrated with Friends Provident.

Steve Payne, chief executive of BHA, will continue in his role and be responsible for the day-to-day management of its operation.

Steve will report directly to Trevor Matthews, CEO of Friends Provident.

Resolution said the addition of BHA confirmed Friends Provident's commitment to the group risk market and offered an extended product range (group life, group income protection and group critical illness) to its supporting intermediaries alongside its corporate pension proposition.
