Unum's acquisition of NDP approved

Unum's acquisition of National Dental Plan (NDP) has been given regulatory approval.

The £31.7m deal to buy NDP from Capita, was announced in August 2015.

Unum will retain all of NDP's staff as part of the deal.

A statement from Unum said: "Unum is delighted to report that the acquisition announced on 10 August has received regulatory approval.

"As of today, National Dental Plan is welcomed as part of the Unum group of companies."
