APRIL UK has upgraded the cancer benefits on their inSpire Private Medical Insurance Plan without any change to premiums.
The cancer upgrade will see no time limits introduced on many out-patient cancer benefits, which were previously limited to 5 years of cover following diagnosis.
This includes consultations, specialist fees, diagnostic tests and scans. However, the most significant upgrade will see their biological therapies limit extended to full cover, with a review at 12 months.
APRIL UK has also added new benefits including £10,000 of palliative care, £5,000 for external prostheses and £100 for wigs.
inSpire was launched in 2014 on the back of a new partnership between APRIL UK and Spire Healthcare, offering access to all 38 Spire hospitals.
The upgrade also brings the inSpire PMI cancer benefits in-line with their flagship APRIL UK Private Medical Insurance Plan
Isaac Lam, business development director at APRIL UK said: "Cancer is such an emotive subject for so many people. We felt it was important for inSpire to carry a higher level of cancer cover to provide that extra peace of mind. To be able to do this without charging extra premium is the icing on top."
