Protection and life cover software firm Ipipeline has teamed up with Openwork to offer advisers a way of producing multiple quotes for protection products which it claims will help them boost their protection sales.
The technology, Solution Builder, identifies the options which suit a client's budget and requirements while showing the adviser alternative bundles of products which may stretch the budget providing opportunities to upsell further products.
A staged roll out is planned in quarter two this year to the open market but initially the service will be available via OWS, Openwork's client management system.
The open market version will be available as a standalone software product and will be available for advisers to rebadge under their own brands.
While the system allows advisers to compare the cost of products it does not allow a comparison of features.
Paul Shearman (pictured), Openwork's proposition director for mortgages, protection and general insurance, said: "In terms of improving the protection advice process it radically improves the quality and service our advisers can give their clients as solutions can be sourced considerably more comprehensively and efficiently than ever before."
The system will be competing for adviser support with Underwriteme, who have yet to launch their adviser proposition.
Underwriteme launched its sourcing tool in September last year and appointed Phil Jeynes, formerly of Pru Protect which became Vitality Life, as its head of sales and marketing, at the start of January.
