The benefits of value-added services have long been recognised by protection insurers to a point where the vast majority of insurers now offer at least one service, such as GP services, mental health support, fitness apps, second medical opinions and access to personal nurses. With pressures on the NHS, there is clearly a massive advantage to having timely access to services and support, dealing with issues early and avoiding conditions escalating.
