Current protection pricing points are too low and are creating a disparity in the levels of service insurers and other providers are able to offer policyholders, writes FutureProof's David Mead, who advocates a need to embrace change to truly meet various consumer needs.

I'm not sure if it's just me, but I'm getting the distinct feeling that the service we are able to offer our clients when helping to arrange their protection policies is deteriorating. I believe that we have arrived at an important moment in the evolution of our industry. If we have a genuine desire to get more individuals, families and businesses protected, we need to start challenging ourselves and asking whether our current approach is putting many advisers off arranging protection.
