The recent changes within the ABI's triennial Guide to Minimum Standards for Critical Illness Cover served to remind me of the need for simplicity. My favoured definition of simplicity is ‘something easy to understand or explain'. The ABI document offered a revised heart attack wording which has caused much comment and a degree of concern. The outcry relates to the potential confusion caused by the explicit exclusion for ‘myocardial injury'.
