Blue Monday is the third Monday of January. It's the most depressing of the year, we are told. Holidays are over. Too much food has been had. It's sinking in that we are back into the normal routines of school runs, endless emails and the countdown to the next leave begins (shhh, don't tell Alan I'm counting!). One of the main stresses that people can have at this time is financial security. The charity Mind put money worries as one of their top five categories for causing stress.
