The festive season is generally seen as a joyful time of the year and yet it does present a number of issues that can negatively affect employees' mental health. Seasonal affective disorder or ‘SAD' is, for example, a well-known side effect of entering the darker and colder winter months. Meanwhile, the event of Christmas itself also brings a lot of pressure - from financial worries to buying the perfect Christmas gift to spending the day with in-laws.
