Work-related anxiety tops health concerns

Employers believe that work-related stress and anxiety is now the biggest health and wellbeing concern among all generations of employees, except for those aged 44-59 (Gen X), according to research from industry body, Group Risk Development (GRiD).

Work-related stress and anxiety – including pressures of overwork and uncertainty of the future - was cited by 40% of employers for Baby-boomers (those aged 60-78), 40% for Generation X, 44% for Millennials (those age 28-43) and 39% for Generation Z (those up to age 27). These concerns have surpassed the levels of stress and anxiety that employees experienced around finances and debt. Previously, this was the number one concern for Generation X, Millennials and Generation Z in 2023, as well for Millennials and Generation Z in 2022.
