Over eight in 10 (84%) workers said that employers should offer support for the increased cost of living in some way, according to Health Shield Friendly Society.
The friendly surveyed 564 people in full-time or part-time work and found that employer-led health and wellbeing benefits were becoming increasingly important when it comes to employee satisfaction and retaining talent. Overall, half (50%) of employees believed their employer cared about the impact the cost of living has on them. Female employees were less likely to agree that their employer cared about the impact of the cost-of-living crisis (45%), compared to male employees (55%).
