The Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) has reiterated the importance of mortgage advisers involving female consumers in the protection discussion, following a new breakdown of data from its annual Viewpoint report for 2023.
AMI shared with the Women in Protection Network (WiP) a breakdown of the report from a gender lens, seen by COVER. Originally published November 2023, the AMI Viewpoint report surveyed 3,000 UK adults and more than 400 mortgages advisers. According to the new breakdown, female respondents were more likely to cite a house purchase as the main trigger for purchasing protection compared to male respondents, with the only exception being payment protection insurance.
