Ann-Marie O’Dea, chief executive officer, Shepherds Friendly, has been named chair of the Association of Financial Mutuals (AFM) board.
Formerly vice-president of the AFM board, O'Dea replaces Stuart Tragheim who retired from his position as CEO of Holloway Friendly Society in February this year. Meanwhile, Andy Morris, CEO, Cirencester Friendly, will take up position as vice-chair of the board. Looking ahead, the AFM will work to make the case for mutuality in the run up to the general election, while also looking for opportunities for AFM member firms to work together to improve the services and value offered to members.
