Dentists’ Provident paid out 99% of claims to members last year, totalling £5.2 million.

The total pay outs for 2023 were down from £5.6m in 2022 when Dentists' Provident paid out 99.1% of claims. The income protection provider said the decline is due to a drop in Covid-19-related claims. A total of 1,189 claims were paid in 2023, compared to 1,849 claims received in 2022. Overall, 983 new claims were paid by the provider last year, compared to 1,679 new claims in 2022.
