People-related risks were a top concern for UK businesses, with one third (31%) of companies concerned about the health and wellbeing of their employees over the next 12 months, according to research by Marsh.

Marsh's UK Business Risk Report 2023 found that businesses are also worried about talent retention, attraction and succession planning (22%), as well as the health and safety of the public and employees (21%). Over the last 12 months, nearly half (47%) of businesses addressed health and safety policies and procedures, and 51% addressed employee mental health and wellbeing offerings, both of which are to be the top two ‘people' priorities looking ahead.
