One in five new starters receive no information on company benefits

One fifth (20%) of employees did not receive any information on their company’s benefits and perk packages when joining a new employer, according to research by Canada Life.

A survey of 2,000 UK adults found that 19% had to do their own research on these benefits through the company website, in lieu of official information from their employer. Overall, one third (34%) of employees decided to accept a job due to a competitive benefit, perk or company policy. The benefits and perks that respondents used the most or benefitted from in their current job include flexible or hybrid working (41%), an annual leave allowance policy (36%) and learning allowances (21%).
