AXA Health to support members with access to cancer clinical trials

Funding patient consultations during and beyond a trial

AXA Health has announced plans to improve the ease of which members can access clinical trials for cancer, while still providing continuity of care.

Finding a clinical trial and being worried about losing touch with an existing trusted specialist are barriers that members can face, the health insurer noted. As part of the plan, AXA Health will continue to fund patient consultations with their treatment specialist during and beyond a trial, ensuring a continuity of care for members. AXA Health detailed it is also working with specialists to encourage them to build their awareness of available trials and make it easier for members with cancer to access those trials.
