Aon is in the early stages of considering a merger with Willis Towers Watson, it has confirmed.
In an announcement made under Irish regulatory requirements, the firm confirmed reports, initially made by Bloomberg, that it was at a "preliminary stage" of evaluating the possibility of the amalgamation, COVER's sister publication Professional Pensions has reported. The global consultancy said: "The company confirms that it is in the early stages of considering an all-share business combination with Willis Towers Watson.
