'Old-age misconceptions' pitch PMI at twice its real cost in eyes of public
British people put the average estimated price of a private medical insurance (PMI) policy for a family of four at £78.10 - almost double the amount of the real cost of £40 a month - a survey by activequote.com has found. The recent survey of 2000 UK adults also found that almost three quarters (73%) of people living in Britain today claim that the reason they do not have it is because they think a PMI policy would be too expensive.
