Financial resilience is low among British households and a taskforce should be established to reform the welfare system, a major report has urged today.
The report commissioned by the Chartered Insurance Institute and authored by SAMI Consulting, said the taskforce should involve the Government, and bring changes to means-testing rules. Launched today, the Building Resilient Households report seeks to understand the factors affecting resilience to sickness absence and what can be done to help more families weather the effects of this in future.
