Drewberry launches protection payout rate awareness campaign

Drewberry has launched a campaign to raise consumer awareness of how high insurer payout rates are for protection insurance products.

The campaign, which you can access here, is a survey asking participants what percentage of claims paid they believe were paid during 2015. In Drewberry's 2015 Protection Survey it was found that consumers believed that only 50% of life insurance claims were paid out by insurers. In comparison, the Association of British Insurers (ABI) reported that 98.2% of all term life insurance claims were paid out in 2015.
