COVER speaks to the Income Protection Task Force (IPTF) co-chairs about three years of learnings, challenges and growth of the Income Protection Awareness Week initiative, with one eye already on the future.

First broadcast in September 2021, the Income Protection Awareness Week (IPAW) provides a week of hour-long sessions focused on educating and informing a wider cohort of financial advisers about the benefits of income protection (IP). The 2023 iteration tackled subjects such as building a client base, addressing potential objections from clients during protection conversations and how underwriting processes can be improved to help take-up of the product - all in the context of examining the end-to-end consumer journey with IP.
