Following the diagnosis of a brain tumour in September last year, Liz shares her story through a bi-frontal craniotomy and the protection policies that “gave us back our life.”

"It's one thing to try and fight a brain tumour, but it's something else to fight a brain tumour and be worried about how we're going to pay the mortgage and pay the bills, while bills are going up all the time." Last year, after a year of feeling unwell including the loss of smell and taste, what was originally thought to be another case of Covid-19 turned far more serious for Liz. A period of increasingly worsening headaches and migraines led to an appointment where an MRI scan uncovered a much bleaker reality - a sizeable brain tumour.
