The group income protection market seems to be making good progress on mental health (MH). It is paying claims for MH and ensuring access to early intervention services to ensure people get help when they need it, thereby reducing the need to claim. So considering the recent flack directed towards the individual insurance industry, with accusations suggesting a somewhat draconian approach towards MH, could anything in the group approach be applied to the individual market? And, if not, what can providers realistically do to improve matters on a wholesale level as opposed to tinkering ...
