British Friendly launches lump sum return-to-work IP benefit

Recovery Support Benefit paid to members as part of income protection Mutual Benefits programme

Just two weeks after permanently rolling out Income Support Payment, British Friendly has introduced a new claims initiative which pays members a cash lump sum in order to help with the transition back to work after a period of illness or injury. Available once an insured claimant has returned to work, Recovery Support Benefit will be the equivalent to four weeks income protection payment, no additional cost and will form part of its discretionary Mutual Benefits programme. Members receiving income protection payments for a continuous period of 26 weeks and back at work for four weeks...
