Aegon is to launch a series of underwriting seminars, running from 14 June until 5 July, at numerous locations across the UK.

The "Underwriting excellence" seminars will give advisers the opportunity to speak directly to AEGON underwriters, with the aim of helping them better understand the underwriting process and the technicalities involved.

Matt Rann, Group Head of Underwriting and Claims at AEGON said: "There has been much demand in the past and we are keen to share our experience and knowledge in the underwriting arena.

"Our main focus will be how we can make it easier for advisers to write protection business."

The provider will also be launching a new trusts web site as part of its tax and financial planning information. This is to be revealed this summer alongside anew alongside guides on the subject.
